There are several very nice places to eat dinner in Historic Downtown Apex, NC. On this particular evening, I chose to enjoy dinner at Scratch Kitchen & Taproom.
Here is how they describe themselves on their website…
“With dishes made from scratch, careful attention to details, and focus on southern hospitality, we hope you find Scratch Kitchen and Taproom to be the place to enjoy a great meal with your friends and family.”
I loved the ambiance of the venue. It is warm and rustic.
They have a very nice bar. They provide both white and red wine as well as some yummy-sounding cocktails.
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options.
The first thing I had to do was pick out my drink. I decided to try a wine from their featured wine list.
I choose the Care Garnacha Blanca Chardonnay and it was very good.
The menu has a variety of options from burgers and salads to delicious entrees.
I wanted to try so many of their options but I settled on the Bone-In Pork Chop for $23.
Here is their description…
Char-Grilled Chop with Asian Pear and Fennel Chutney, Potato and Parsnip Mash, and Sautéed Bacon Collard Greens. (I did substitute collard greens with Brussel sprouts)
Delicious!
