While visiting the charming town of Beaufort, NC, we had our hearts set on a particular restaurant for lunch. Arriving right at opening time, we were disappointed to find they were experiencing oven problems and couldn’t open for the day. With no other plans, we took a leisurely walk along the scenic waterfront, soaking in the salty air and picturesque views. That’s when we spotted Finz Grill—a cozy spot right on the water that immediately caught my eye. With its inviting atmosphere and waterfront location, it was the perfect place to stop and enjoy a meal.
Finz Grill offers a relaxed, casual atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Outdoor diners enjoy a serene experience right on the water, watching boats glide along Taylor Creek and taking in views of Carrot Island, part of the beautiful Rachel Carson Reserve. Inside, the restaurant features a cozy dining area and a separate room with a bar, complete with seating at the bar and a few tables by the window overlooking Front Street—the perfect spot for people-watching and soaking up the local vibe.
When we arrived at Finz, we were greeted warmly and quickly introduced to our server. She was friendly, attentive, answering all our questions and making sure to check in on us regularly throughout our visit.
We visited Finz twice—first to sit outside by the water, soaking in the beautiful view and refreshing atmosphere, and then again to enjoy the cozy indoor bar area. Both experiences were comfortable and welcoming, making us feel well taken care of each time.
Finz offers a wide range of delicious dishes, from starters like Crab Fritter Sliders to entrees including seafood platters, shrimp and grits, burgers, and sandwiches. For lunch, Rocky and I both went with the Crab Dip Stuffer—a baked potato topped with rich, creamy crab dip—which I thoroughly enjoyed. On my second visit, I tried the shrimp tacos, which were equally delightful. Just a heads-up: the in-restaurant menu has a few more options than the one you’ll find on their website, so be sure to check it out when you’re there!
Finz offers a variety of drink choices, from sodas, beer, and wine to a selection of mixed drinks. On my first visit, I enjoyed a glass of wine while Rocky savored some refreshing iced tea. During my second visit, I tried a frozen Strawberry Daiquiri—it was tasty and a nice change of pace.
I truly enjoyed both of my visits to Finz Grill. The casual, welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home, whether I was sitting outside by the tranquil water or inside soaking up the cozy, laid-back vibe. If you find yourself in Beaufort, NC, I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by Finz for a delightful meal at a relaxed waterfront venue.
Take Time to Enjoy the Journey!
